If you are looking
for a “Guided Drift Boat” Fishing Trip in Oregon
or California - well that is our specialty.
We drift the serene Chetco in southern Oregon and
occasionally the Elk, and Sixes. In
early fall we work the Rogue River.
In California
we drift the beautiful
Smith
River
in the heart of the Majestic Redwoods. Make a life-long memory of
fishing for that Fall King Salmon and Fall & Winter Steelhead.
We
also drift the “Wild and Scenic” Rogue River in Oregon, on three day -
two night fishing trips. These trips are through the "Wild and
Scenic" Section of the Rogue River.
We fish the Rogue for its famous run of Half-ponders. I have over
30 years of professional experience in the Outfitting and Guiding
Industry. I am Licensed and Bonded in all states that I work.
I have held an Oregon
license since 1981, and
California
license since 1979. I am also a member of the Rogue River Guides
Association in Oregon.
I work under permit from the US Forest Service. We are always
happy to help you make all your reservations, and we welcome large
groups.
I
have been a board member of the Smith River Rowdy Creek Fish Hatchery, working to make your trip
successful by having fish in our rivers. I have also been a member
of the Smith River Advisory Board which makes recommendations to
California Fish and Game governing the Smith River. Some of these
recommendations have become law. We had the foresight years ago,
that we needed to do something to save this wonderful resource.
The changes we made back then have made it possible today on the Smith
River to retain a native fish, although that is discouraged. The Smith
River in California is the only river in the state that you can do that
on.
I am also a
member of the Rogue River Guides Association in
Oregon.
